Song of The Week: feedtime – “F#”

feedtime (lower case intentional) was a punk band from Sydney, Australia. They existed from 1979-1989 and in that time crafted an intense, pioneering hardcore punk sound. Their music is slow, heavy, and lo-fi; they served as a huge influence on important punk bands like The Melvins, Dinosaur Jr., and Mudhoney. This song is super slow and grimy, with sparse drumming and grinding, intense guitars. Sub Pop Records is re-releasing the band’s entire discography in a 4 CD box set. If you like this song, check out their artist page on Sub Pop’s website.
