Song Of The Week: “The Most Beautiful Bitter Fruit” by La Dispute

La Dispute’s new album Wildlife was released on October 4th, 2011. This song is the second single off the album, and in my opinion one of the best tracks on the record. I especially love the groovy intro that’s confident yet subtle and groovy. The song screams classic La Dispute, with loud-soft dynamics and Jordan Dreyer’s characteristic howls. The chorus contains an angular, memorable riff, intense and energetic. This song is a perfect microcosm of Wildlife and a nice representative of the band’s sound in general.
