Midnight Metal Massacre Setlist 9/2/2011

A little late on this one. The Mastodon double-shot was a good part of the show; I’m starting to get really excited for their new album The Hunter, out September 27th. One of the songs was “Black Tongue,” the single from said album. If you’re interested, check out my review of the song here. Also fun were the two 9-minute prog metal epics I played, “Bleak” by Opeth and “Prequel To The Sequel” by Between The Buried And Me. Here’s the list:

Protest The Hero – Tandem

Opeth – Bleak

Full Blown Chaos – Cain Marko

Dethklok – Awaken

The Human Abstract – Patterns

Mastodon – Oblivion

Mastodon – Black Tongue [Single]

Gojira – The Heaviest Matter Of The Universe

Protolith – Reveries

Decrepit Birth – Polarity

Believer – Clean Room
